Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
1. Overview
Aegis-Beacon is an open-source project. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, if any, and how we handle it.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
This website does not use advertising cookies, account registration, or contact forms that store personal data on our servers.
- No advertising cookies or ad pixels
- No account registration or login systems
- No contact forms that store personal data
3. Cookie and Storage Consent
On your first visit, a consent banner lets you choose Essential only or Accept all. Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key aegis-consent.
- Essential only: theme preference (light/dark) and wiki sidebar state. No assistant downloads and no Clarity.
- Accept all: enables the on-device Aegis Assistant (model weights from Hugging Face, cached as
aegis-chat-model-v2) and Microsoft Clarity session analytics (projectyoa77fomiv). Chat text is processed locally and is not uploaded to our hosting.
3a. Microsoft Clarity
If you choose Accept all, we load Microsoft Clarity from clarity.ms to record anonymized session heatmaps and replays. Clarity is a Microsoft service; see the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Essential only never loads that script.
4. Local Storage (details)
Beyond the consent flag, localStorage may store your theme (theme), optional assistant model choice (aegis-chat-model, only after Accept all), and collapsed wiki navigation groups. All of this stays on your device.

This site links to the Aegis-Beacon GitHub repository. When you click these links, you leave our site. GitHub's own privacy policy applies to any data they collect during your visit.

This website is hosted as a static site on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server log information (IP addresses, user agent, request timestamps) as part of normal web hosting operations. This data is managed by Vercel according to their Privacy Policy.
7. Open Source
The source code of this website is publicly available on GitHub. You can verify exactly what code runs on this site at any time.
8. Children's Privacy

If this privacy policy changes, the update date at the top of this page will be revised. Since we do not collect personal data, changes are unlikely to affect you.
